Saab PhoeniX Concept was in the spotlight of Saab stand at the Geneva Motor Show 2011. The PhoeniX Concept shows us some of the lines that will find in the future Swedish models. For Swedish manufacturer Saab, Geneva Motor Show is the place of rebirth in terms of design and presence in the automotive world. The most important novelty is the Saab PhoeniX Concept, that  has lines we will find in the future Saab models. The concept impressed both by body lines, and by implementing new Saab IQon infotainment platform that uses the Google Android operating system. Another surprise prepared by the Swedish family-addresses and is the debut of the Saab 9-5 SportCombi which is intended to be a premium wagon built in the Saab style. The recent resurgence of spy shots of Saab 9-4X a few days before announcement of the Swedish house, which was finally confirmed that the model will go into production (and here we had no more doubts now …) this is an important news –  Saab 9-4X will be presented by the end of this year. The announcement means that the rest of the production operations will be launched in the latter part of 2010, and that sales will start probably in early 2011. The technical information on the new Swedish SUV however, are slow to emerge: the most probable hypothesis about a whole range of turbo engines, articulated on the 2.0 and 2.8 V6 petrol, and 3.0 V6 diesel with 250 PS developed by VM. The 9-4X, offer all-wheel drive with Haldex XWD, will probably be available only with six-speed automatic transmission. The Scandinavian model, which will be born on the same Theta platform used by General Motors for the Cadillac SRX will be produced alongside in the American sister factory GM Ramos Arizpe in Mexico. For the fine tuning of the suspension in the new Saab 9-5 have Peter Johansson, chief test pilot from Saab, and his team traveled more than 500 000 km on European roads. During the trips, the team also reviewed the systems in the vehicle such as air conditioning, audio system, lighting, seat comfort and ergonomics in their operation. The tester held at regular intervals in-house evaluation exercises, in which the vehicles had been shared with colleagues from other departments. This should be given to whether the settings were also perceived. In many markets, the new Saab 9-5 will be ordered already. Deliveries are made during the year. In Germany will enter the market from June 2010 at prices starting at 33 700 Euros. The Chinese manufacturer BAW, a part of BAIC, will launch during the Beijing Exhibition the SUV named B90, a copy of the Range Rover and Jeep Grand Cherokee. The upcoming Beijing Motor Show 2010 will host a series of important world premieres and several releases but not very honorable for the Chinese auto industry. Known for the “passion” to copy the European models, Asians seem to be preparing for this year even better! This time they come with an SUV inspired from Land Rover and Jeep and built by the less popular Beijing Auto Works (BAW). As we’ve said, these guys are a subsidiary of the BAIC, a manufacturer that tryed to take over Saab but in the end got satisfied only to take production for the old 9-5 and now 9-3 models. The product of the BAW is called B90 and it is by definition.. an SUV not very original, which borrows or…steals the design patterns established by the Range Rover and Jeep Grand Cherokee. But that’s not all dear addicts, BAW will also bring at Beijing Motor Show 2010 another copy of Jeep Wrangler, called B40! Currently there is no information about the two Chinese cars: all the images we’ve got were taken from a series of billboards in Beijing. But still, we can say that these off-road cars have under the hood some turbocharged units inspired from Saab.
