Mercedes-Benz CLA, a four-door coupe built on the platform of the A-Class, but with the dimensions of a C-Class will enter in Mercedes showrooms in 2013. For now, the Germans give us some clues about the future model through the Mercedes-Benz Style Coupe Concept. Mercedes introduced a concept that will be the headline at Auto China 2012 in Beijing, an event which opens its doors next week. Officially called Mercedes-Benz Style Coupe Concept, the German prototype announces an entirely new model in the range of the Suttgart manufacturer. The collaboration between Renault-Nissanand Mercedes-Benz gives the first result: the utility vehicle Mercedes-Benz Citan, the restyled and upgraded German version of Renault Kangoo. Mercedes-Benz presented earlier this week the first official photos and information about the new utility vehicle. Mercedes will exhibit at Detroit Auto Show 2012 (North American International Auto Show – NAIAS 2012) two hybrid version of the current E-Class: Mercedes E300 BlueTEC Hybrid and Mercedes E400 Hybrid. The diesel-hybrid version will also arrive in Europe. The largest Auto Show of the beginning of the year brings two important premieres for Mercedes, which will exhibit at its booth in Detroit two environmental declensions of the existing E-Class. Mercedes E300 BlueTEC Hybrid and Mercedes E400 Hybrid at NAIAS 2012 The public present at Detroit Auto Show 2012 will get acquainted with the new Mercedes E400 Hybrid and Mercedes E300 BlueTEC Hybrid, the first intended exclusively for the U.S. market and the second scheduled to arrive in Europe in autumn 2012. The new Mercedes E300 BlueTEC Hybrid is actually a diesel-hybrid powered by the 2.1-liter CDI engine with 204 horsepower along with an electric engine. The latter offers 27 horsepower and a torque of 250 Nm (184.4 lb/ft), being kept alive by a lithium-ion battery of 0.8 kWh (1.09 PS), which allows running only in the electric mode at a maxim speed of 55 km/h (34.2 mph). The resources of the two propulsion units helps Mercedes E300 BlueTEC Hybrid to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 7.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h (150 mph). Even so, the average fuel efficiency is only 4.2 litres/100 km (56 MPG US, 68 MPG UK), with 15% lower than the standard version, while emissions are reduced up to 109 g/km (57.2 mpg) less than the E250 CDI version.
