Former Finnish pilot will drive a copy of Ford Focus RS in the 24-Hour Race at the Nurburgring.
Hatchback was ready to race by many German students.
This year’s edition of the race for 24 hours at the Nurburgring will check the list and this home’s hot hatch Ford Focus RS. The performance model will enter the competition with German team FH Koln Motorsport, who managed to prepare two copies offered by Ford Germany, together with several students of the Faculty of Applied Sciences in Koln. Young people have two copies as providers using Castrol, Dekra, Dunlop and TRK Automotive, which had provided the main components.
At the Ford’s steering wheel will be even Jari-Matti Latvala, former Finnish pilot official Ford team, assisted by other big names in motorsport: Stephen Schlesack, Daniela Schmid and Anja Wassertheurer.
” Nordschleife maintains its reputation even today as a not very comfortable circuit. After I went through several rounds I understand why. It is a circuit which must speak with respect. So I am very eager to participate in the race,” said Latvala , when presented the two cars.
