Class win for Lexus at the Nurburgring

This year, Lexus will start for the third time in a row with the CAA, the 24-hour race at the Nurburgring. In preparation for the race, the Japanese Gazoo Racing-Team started  on Saturday the 4-hour race, the second round of the World Endurance Championship standings in 2010, with two cars on the Nordschleife. Long-distance specialist Armin Hahne drove one with Jochen Krumbach and Japanese young talent Kazaya Ohshima the SP8 class victory in the championship for vehicles with near-standard engine.

In the overall standings of the CAA, the team Hahne/Ohshima/Krumbach crossed in 17th of 142 cars presented at the finish line. The car with start number 128 was on 24th Grid into the race. The team gained valuable experience in particular. Learn how to start the 24-hour race in about four weeks, targeted improvements to be implemented. “In particular, for suspensions and tires, we have found potential for improvement,” says Armin Hahne, on 24 April 2010 with the 52nd ADAC-ACAS-H&R-Cup with the new Lexus LFA again at the start.
