F1: Webber hits Grand Prix de Monaco with a class win

Red Bull Racing exploited Saturdays qualifying results and secured a double win on the streets of Monaco after Sebastian Vettel exceeded Robert Kubica at the start line and finished second.

Mark Webber has obtained his second consecutive victory this season, while Renault took the last step of the podium by Kubica.

Left at the pitlane as a result of not participating in qualifying, Fernando Alonso finished 7th due to an excellent strategy, making compulsory exchange in round two tires when the safety car entered the circuit after abandon suffered by Nico Hulkenberg (accident) and Jenson Button (technical problem in the engine). Spaniard losing 6th  place most of the race even at the last turn, immediately after passing Michael Schumacher doing safety car out on track.

His team-mate Felipe Massa finished in 4th, followed by Lewis Hamilton (McLaren), while Schumacher and Nico Rosberg completed the six and eight seats for Mercedes GP. Force India managed to position itself with both drivers in the points, Adrian Sutil and Vitantonio Liuzzi finishing in 9th and 10th place.

Next race: Turkish Grand Prix – Istanbul 28-30 May
