Betting on next years NASCAR

There is still a long way to go in the 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, but almost half of the season has now been completed, which means that those following – and putting bets on – the events can get a clearer picture of who might win.

So far the star of NASCAR 2013 has been the Hendrick Motorports driver Jimmie Johnson, something which is reflected in the odds that he has been given to win it by the bookies, but is he the only driver that is in with a serious chance?

There is no disputing that Johnson is the clear favourite with 9/4 bookmakers odds to win, and he has accumulated an impressive points advantage at the top of the standings. Johnson has 521 points, which puts him 50 ahead of the driver currently in second place – Carl Edwards. Edwards’ place in the standings is not reflected in his odds for the trophy, as he is rated 10/1 by sports betting sites – although these odds have recently been shortened – as he was rated 16/1.

He is likely to be a popular alternative bet to Johnson, despite the reduced odds offered on him now, but given the relative lack of options some betting fans might find the motor racing themed slots games that can be found at most online casino pages a bit more exciting.

One such game is found at Jackpot City called, ‘Motor Slot Speed Machine’, and the very name of this five reel slot suggests excitement. This is backed up by display in the style of a motorbike – including the speedometer and handlebars – and the reels in the shape of gloves, flags, tyres and motorbike jackets.

The wild symbol (meaning the one that boosts your shot at winning a payout by making up the numbers for missing reel icons) is the speedometer and – unlike some slots games – it will fill in for any other missing icon. This really does give you a great chance of winning money playing Motor Slot Speed Machine, although you may not grab the $50,000 maximum jackpot on offer.
