Dacia Lodgy Live at Geneva Motor Show 2012 – full specifications

Dacia Lodgy was launched at Geneva Motor Show 2012 on jazz rhythms, practicality of the model being underlined by a band of musicians who came on stage aboard the MPV from Tangier. It all started with a Moroccan singer, who came on the scene with a beatbox moment that drew attention on Carlos Tavares, head of the Renault brand, which has descended victoriously from a Lodgy during the artists performance.

From the very beginning, Dacia was presented as RenaultNissan pride, given its remarkable growth rate recorded in the eight years since the launch of Logan. The new MPV is 4.5 meters (177.2 inches) long and 1.75 meters (69 inches) high. These figures translate into a generous interior space for five or seven passengers, a short experience inside showing us that the front and the second row offers good headroom and at the shoulder level. Dacia Lodgy boast with the best possible space for occupants of the third row from the entire compact MPV segment. The three seats from the second row are equipped in standard with the Isofix system, which allows the complete safety attachment for child seats. The modularity is an important attribute of the Dacia Lodgy model. In the 7-seat configuration, as needed, the third row of seats can be removed or folded.

The luggage space varies depending by the number of passengers on board. Thus in the five-seater version, Dacia Lodgy offers 827 liters (29.2 ft³), and the version with seven seats remaining 207 liters (7.3 ft³). If you decide to remove both rows of seats and leave only the two front seats, the usable empty space goes up to 2617 liters (92.4 ft³).

The interior has been treated more carefully. The dashboard has three dials and, a first for a Dacia model, will have touch screen navigation system, Bluetooth and speed limiter. The navigation system and multimedia (MEDIA NAV) is proposed as an option at a price of 300 Euross (VAT included). The system includes radio, USB and jack socket, Bluetooth and integrated navigation system with 7” (18 cm)touch screen. The USB and jack sockets allow connection of an iPod or a smartphone. The titles are displayed on the MEDIA NAV screen and selecting plays is easy either on the touch screen or using the steering wheel satellite control. Dacia Lodgy offers a second multimedia solution (in series for Ambiance and Laureate equipment levels), Dacia-Plug & Radio – which contains a radio CD with MP3, Bluetooth connection, jack socket, USB and satellite steering wheel controls.

Another novelty in Dacia range is emerging on Lodgy: the speed limiter, available as an option on the Laureate version. This allows the driver to set a driving speed that he doesn’t want to exceed and thus drive safely. Another useful technology available optionally in the same package with the speed limiter, is the rear parking assist system. Another premiere on Dacia Lodgy are the front heated seats, optionally available on the Laureate equipment.
