Not even sixty days to earn the way of production. He lost his roof, but it is also nice. After that came the anticipation of the BMW 6 Series Concept; we publish the first pictures of the 6 Series Convertible (project code F13), 4.89 m long four-seater for sale from spring 2011. The new 2011 BMW 6 Series Convertible therefore earn 7.4 cm compared to the present generation, for a width of 1.89 meters (+3.9 cm) and a height of 1:36 m (+ 0.9 cm), while the wheelbase grows by 7.5 cm to reach 2.85 meters. Despite the size XL the technical BMW promises a 50% more structural rigidity than the E64.
The BMW 6 Series Convertible is characterized by the soft top of course, the lightweight, compact and opening system (completed in 19 seconds) and closing (24 seconds) can be activated up to 40 km/h. The boot measures 300 liters or 350 when the hood is present or not. These first images show the top of the range version (650th) with a 4.4 twin-turbo V8 engine, rated at 408 bhp and 600 Nm constant between 1,750 and 4,500 rpm. Exciting performance: acceleration 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds and 250 km/h top speed, despite the over-size frame. Consumption and emissions are small compared to 7.9 l/100 km and 185 g / km of CO2. All thanks to 8-speed automatic gearbox and Stop & Start technology.
Although the full specifications were already announced, BMW will officialy present the new BMW 6 Series Convertible in 2011, probably during the Geneva Motor Show (3-13 March).

The front overhang, longer than in the past, it makes the car look very slightly less slender than the model it replaces. But the DNA from shark is still alive and kicking. Once again we would like to say a word for the interior that really seem worth what they cost in terms of quality: this was one of the weaknesses of the older generation of BMW.
