Pagani Huayra managed to set a new lap record on Top Gear’s track! This week, after nearly 11 months of waiting, Top Gear returned on our TV sets with the first episode of the 19th season given by BBC2.
In this episode we saw Jeremy Clarkson driving the Peel P50, James May driving the Bentley Continental GT Speed during a Rally race, while Richard Hammond drives the new Pagani Huayra, which writes the fastest time on the Top Gear’s track driven by the Stig. Finally, behind the wheel of The Reasonably Priced Car sat the most famous English actor Damian Lewis, star of Homeland series .
In the first episode of the latest Top Gear series, Pagani Huayra has managed to become the fastest car on the British show circuit, exceeding the old record holder, Ariel Atom V8.
Pagani Huayra is a star who managed to unseat the previous record, held by the Ariel Atom and even put its name on top of their list of models who competed on Top Gear circuit.
It seems that the time set by Atom, the British supercar of 1:15.1, was not enough to ensure a long career as the king. That’s because Pagani Huayra, star of the first episode of season 19, has finished the circuit almost two seconds faster: 1:13.8.
We had faster cars on Top Gear’s circuit such as the Pagani Zonda R (1:08.5) and Ferrari FXX (1:10.7), but both are models exclusively dedicated to circuit and not street approved.
