2012 Renault Megane Facelift was unveiled by the French manufacturer. The compact car receives discrete aesthetic changes (LED lights), but the major improvements are hiding under the hood, where two new engines are found.
Renault comes to Geneva Motor Show 2012 with a premiere somewhat expected by the general public: 2012 Renault Megane Facelift. The French compact car enjoyed a warm welcome from the European public at launch, but has received some criticism for the controversial design.
Renault has decided to solve this problem with a set of LED lights for the optical blocks and a redesigned bumper, decorated with many chromed details.

2012 Renault Megane Facelift Engine
The main novelties will be find under the hood, where the public will get acquainted with the new 1.2 liters turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine. The unit develops 115 horsepower (85.8 Kw / 116.6 PS) and a torque of 190 Nm (140 lb/ft), while ensuring a combined fuel economy of 5.3 litres/100 km (53.3 MPG UK, 44.4 MPG US) and emissions of 119 g/km.
Neither the diesel engine fans were neglected. In addition to a revised 1.5 dCi unit of 110 HP (82 Kw / 111.5 PS), the 2012 Renault Megane Facelift also receives the most powerful 1.6-liter diesel existing on the market yet, of 130 HP (97 Kw / 132 PS). The first version ensures 260 Nm (192 lb/ft) and a combined fuel economy of just 3.8 liters/100 km (74.3 MPG UK, 61.9 MPG US), while the 1.6-liter unit promises 320 Nm (236 lb/ft) from 175 Nm (129 lb/ft) and a combined fuel economy of 4 liters/100 km (70.6 MPG UK, 58.8 MPG US).
2012 Renault Megane RS Facelift
The RS performance version also received a facelift. In addition to the aesthetic changes, the sports car receives 15 horsepower and 20 Nm more. Performances of the standard version as equal to those of the Trophy edition, already praised by specialized media.
All 2012 Renault Megane Facelift versions receive a number of technological improvements such as the latest generation multimedia system and Visio System, a function that warns the driver whens exceeding the lane and also controls the headlight beam in night time.
