Porsche wanted to mark the attainment of a record number of fans on their Facebook account (five million), with a special version: Porsche Carrera 4S ‘5 Million Car’. The very limited edition (only one copy) was personalized with the help of fans.
When the official Porsche Facebook account has reached one million fans, Porsche decided to reward everyone’s confidence with a particular video ad (check it below), built on a strong emotional impact. They didn’t know that it would give rise to a precedent. This is how when reached two million fans, the Germans even built a special edition Porsche Cayman S, personalized with photos of all those who appreciated the official website.
Porsche Carrera 4S ‘5 Million Car’ Facebook
Recently, Porsche reached five million fans on its social network account and considered that should, again, show their gratitude for the fans. The result is a unique copy based on 2013 Porsche 911 Carrera 4S, personalized with the help of fans.
Porsche Carrera 4S ‘5 Million Car’ is painted in Aquablaumetallic, developed by the Porsche Exclusive department. The appearance was improved with an Aerokit Cup package. It includes a “lip” for the front bumper and one for the rear bumper, a fixed rear wing and 20-inch wheels.
The interior received illuminated side skirts, aluminum for the center console, door panels and the handle of the PDK automatic transmission. Aluminum is also found in the pedals and in dashboard.
In order to bring the unique supercar closer to the fans, Porsche announced that the 911 Carrera 4S will be available for test at the Porsche Experience Centre in Silverstone. Here, the fans will have the opportunity to drive the Porsche Carrera 4S ‘5 Million Car’ on the famous British circuit.

Porsche builds a unique model based on the votes from its Internet community
Stuttgart. “5 million reasons to celebrate!” – It was this slogan that got sportscar enthusiasts on the Internet involved in designing a unique Porsche 911 Carrera 4S model. The sportscar manufacturer based in Zuffenhausen, Germany, launched the campaign to show its appreciation for the five million “Likes” it has received from fans. Porsche is now running a competition on its Facebook page (facebook.com/porsche) until August 18 for the chance to win a drive in the one-of-a-kind 911 model at the Porsche Experience Center at Silverstone in the United Kingdom. Nine scale models of the vehicle are also available for the runners-up.
As part of the “50 years of the Porsche 911″ anniversary celebrations, 54,000 social media users voted on their ideal design for the Porsche 911. Working with “Porsche Exclusive”, the vehicle was painted in the unique colour Aquablaumetallic and kitted out with a range of equipment, including 20-inch Carrera S wheels with a special paint finish in white. The unique model also features the “Aerokit Cup” package, consisting of a front apron with additional front spoiler lip and a new rear lid with fixed spoiler. A film set developed especially for this 911 model with the wording “5M Porsche Fans” along with custom-made door entry guards with the wording “Personally built by 5 Million Porsche Fans” make this vehicle a genuine original. It will soon be possible for all Porsche enthusiasts to experience the vehicle on the driving courses at Silverstone.
The runners-up in second place through to tenth place in the competition will receive a 1:43 scale model of the 911 Carrera 4S “5M Porsche Fans” vehicle. The competition is open to anyone with a Facebook account and a valid driver’s licence.
