Today Sony held a press conference and presented new PlayStation 4 specification along with DriveClub, the newest car game built for this console. We were limited to the technical side of the product and we did not have any access to the device itself. The market launch of PlayStation 4 will be during the holiday season, starting in November 2013. But first let’s see what car games for PlayStation 4 we will have on this gaming platform.
Among other games presented at the PlayStation Meeting we had a glanse at DriveClub, a racing game developed by Evolution Studios, who also created MotorStorm series. Created in collaboration with people who have worked at some of the most important Sony PlayStation racing games such as Formula 1, Gran Turismo, MotorStorm, WipEout, Project Gotham Racing, GRID 2 or WRC – the game promises the most realistic car control ever.
DriveClub is a game especially developed for Playstation 4 and both will be launched by Sony later this year. The folks at Evolution Studios have already developed a game awaiting the new console and we currently hold a first DriveClub trailer. The game looks good, with very high resolution and great graphics, but we all know that the final product is not always the same as the trailer. DriveClub has a very authentic look and graphic appearance promises a very realistic feel made using the game’s enlightening engine.
So far we know that DriveClub will have licensed cars and will be a team-based racing game. Some of the supercars available in this console game include brands such as Maserati, BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Hennessey. DriveClub plans to offer PlayStation 4 players an experience as close to that experienced by participants in the competitions of various racing teams.
Officials also announced releasing of a mobile application that will allow players access to their club whenever they go. Even if you are not logged in using the console you will still be able to organize races or tournaments involving even thousands of players. DriveClub is a new game announced by Evolution Studios, will be distributed by Sony Computer Entertainment and will be released for PlayStation 4 in the winter of 2013. Just in time for Santa presents of course. Price for DriveClub has not been released but we should see a value similar to ones used on previous games released by the same company.
