With Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2010 EA wants to return to the roots of the Need for Speed series. Need for Speed 3 Hot Pursuit was in 1998 the first game from the series, the reference to the classics in the name. With Hot Pursuit in any case comes back the exotic cars and the high speed police chases. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit: graphics and controls The developers of the Burnout series, Criterion, are responsible for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2010. This is evident already at the picture that looks good both in motion and on screenshots – and strongly reminiscent of Burnout (no surprise, since in both cases we have to thank to the Criterion-Engine). On the first screen shots, which are very likely to play video, one sees a lot of motion blur and depth, shadows and textures speak but for 720p video games – without anti-aliasing, at least on the vehicles, the distinctive aliasing. But the control of Need for Speed Hot Pursuit 2010 goes toward Burnout. The cars move very quickly from the spot when you fire the turbo, blurs the graphics environment and the pace felt good. Need For Speed Hot Pursuit: Cops against Racers The roles of cop and racer is clear: the racers must go away as far as possible until a 15-second counter is displayed.
