Today Michael Macht, the president and chief executive officer of Porsche and rally legend Walter Rohrl, presented the Porsche 918 Spyder Concept Car at its world debut at Geneva Motor Show 2010. As the name suggests, this is the Porsche 918 Spyder Concept, an open-top super sports car. It was build on the Porsche Carrera GT, which was made from 2003 to 2006 a total of about 1,250 times, and with a unit price of 450,000 Euro, it was reserved only to selected customers. The Lamborghini Reventon, inspired by a fighter jet, offers a virtual version and mix of utopian and Reventon Murcielago LP640, the fruit of a union with an F117 Night Hawk stealth fighter American. BMW presented the first informations about the 5 Series Activehybrid, hybrid concept ready for Geneva Auto Show 2010. BMW will present next week in Geneva the Activehybrid 5 Series, a concept designed to extend the hybrid line of the Bavarian producer. The new BMW concept will be the first model from a series which will make the debut on the market only in 2011. 5 Series BMW Activehybrid is the third model with hybrid drivetrain, after ActiveHybrid X6 and 7 Series ActiveHybrid. Series 5 will use a derivation of the existing hybrid powertrain on Series 7. The 15 KW Engine from the 7 Series was modified to reach a power of 40 kW, able to maintain a hundred percent hybrid model. BMW has implemented a system that can change the function of the hybrid module vehicle to a normal one. The Biturbo engine is a traditional six-cylinder that develops 300 horsepower. Hyundai will launch at the Geneva Salon a facelift for the i30 compact model and a diesel hybrid concept named iFlow. The star of the stand is a first for Korean manufacturer Asian setting as first diesel-electric hybrid, trying to explore a segment that already rivals are preparing to begin. Hyundai iFlow is powered by a 1.7-liter turbo diesel engine, mated to an electric motor, which is kept alive by a set of lithium-ion batteries. The ensemble is completed by a twin-clutch transmission and six reports. The Korean engineers thought it as a winner, considering that the average consumption figure is 3 liters per 100 km and the amount of emissions fell to 85 g/km. The performances have been possible and thanks to designers who have managed to draw a body with good performance in the wind tunnel, where he obtained a coefficient of only 0,25. Hyundai iFlow has a 0.25Cd drag coefficient, 85g/km CO2 emissions level and 3l/100km fuel consumption.
