Volkswagen CrossBlue Coupe Concept Specs
CrossBlue Coupe in Shanghai will be equipped with a V6 engine with direct injection and turbocharging, assisted by two electric units. The ensemble will be able to develop 415 horsepower. The propulsion system promises a sprint from 0-62 mph (0 to 100 km/h) in 5.9 seconds and a fuel consumption of just three liters per 100 km (NEDC cycle for plug-in hybrid vehicles), thanks to the intervention of the two electric motors. Announced combined consumption is 6.9 liters / 100km. The two electric motors may use the resources contained within lithium-ion batteries to provide a zero-emission range for a distance of 33 kilometers.
The new Volkswagen CrossBlue Coupe Concept is a plug-in hybrid, which means that the batteries can be recharged using your home outlet. In the 100% electric mode, the engine can reach a speed of 75 mph (120 km/h), while the top speed of the 4895 lbs (2220 kg) concept is 147 mph (236 km/h).
The new VW CrossBlue Coupe will be showcased at 2013 Shanghai Auto Show and opens up a new design chapter, more courageous, which will inspire all the following SUVs created by the manufacturer in Wolfsburg. Inside, we have great angular shapes on the dashboard, seats with a sober design, separation of the multimedia systems between the front and rear seats and digital dashboard gauges.
The car in the following gallery faithfully resembles drawings shown yesterday with a more aggressive appearance than the current SUVs German range. The trunk has a load volume of 537 liters, which can grow to 1,101 liters when the rear seat is folded.
