Subaru XV – the new Japanese Crossover SUV

Subaru presented the official photos of its new Crossover SUV – Subaru XV, a concept that draws attention by the electrifying color and idea.

According to the official press release presented by the Japanese, the theme design of the Subaru XV is called Protren, a term derived from the terms Professional Tool” and Trendy Design.” The logic use of the term is that Subaru, sees in its future the crossover SUV model with a much improved stylistic image. Front lines of the Subaru XV are part of what they promote lately, brand’s characteristics are found in full in the grille, headlights or the rear area of the concept.

Subaru, have kept many aesthetic elements from the XV Concept that foreshadowed the series version. Even the concept’s alloy wheels were taken by the Subaru XV series version.

At the interior, the spotlights are attracted to the center console, whose commands are replaced by two large displays. Farewell buttons and rotating controls! On the new Subaru XV crossover SUV you feel more technical than ever before.

Subaru XV Engines

The Subaru XV compact crossover SUV will come with three boxer engines including two petrol and a turbo diesel. The two petrol engines are 1.6 and 2.0 liter while the diesel is already famous and has 2.0 liters.

The 1.6 petrol boxer engine develops 115 hp and 150 Nm and can be associated with a five-speed gearbox with a manual tr. or an automatic CVT Lineartronic gearbox. The 2.0 liter petrol engine delivers 150 hp and 196 Nm and the transmission options are a six-speed manual gearbox or the same CVT Lineartronic. Finally, the diesel boxer engine offers 150 hp and 350 Nm and can be paired only with a manual six-speed transmission gearbox.

As expected, Subaru XV is equipped with the traditional AWD all-wheel drive and the Japanese manufacturer also added the auto Start/Stop system.
