Land Rover has released the first pictures of Freelander 2 redesign that will debut on the market in coming September. The compact SUV House UK has changed more in the front but the rear stand been redesigned headlights and tailgate larger. The Freelander 2 has been updated inside, with the carrier now available with four different types of fabric plus leather upholstery Windsor. In addition, the redesign brings also new alloy wheels 18 and 19 inches, and the new colors Kosrae green, blue and white Baltic Fuji for the body.
But the biggest news of the renewed Land Rover Freelander 2 are under the hood and under body. In fact, the debut novel 2WD front-wheel drive version – called eD4 – which will be available from January 2011. The decision to introduce this version comes from the fact that the two-wheel drive SUVs represent almost 23% of its market. The Freelander 2 eD4 consume approximately 19 km per liter and emits 158 g/km of CO2. Regarding the engines, the 2.2 turbo four-cylinder engine source PSA will be available in two versions: the TD4 with 150 bhp and SD4 with 190 bhp. The first is coupled with 6-speed manual transmission and emits 165 g / km of CO2, while the second is coupled with 6-speed sequential gearbox, emits 185 g / km of CO2 accelerates from 0 to 100 in 8.7 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 190 km/h.
