Dacia Duster won the first place in the SUV sales category in the auto markets from Spain and France in 2011.
Dacia Duster reap the benefits of success on the European market. The Dacia model is the best-selling SUV in Spain and France, an unimaginable performance in March 2010, when it debuted at Geneva Motor Show. On the market in France, Dacia Duster sold 47,845 units during 2011, while on the Spanish market 7,000 units were acquired by November. The best selling model in Spain was Renault Megane, while the French market preferred Clio, the smaller model of the French manufacturer.

Dacia Duster was sold so well on the auto market in France that recorded 2.4% of the total vehicle market in 2011 in that country. Moreover, the Romanian model has managed to overcome models like Volkswagen Polo, Ford Fiesta and Volkswagen Golf in sales ranking in France, the first non-French model from the Top 10.
Therefore we talk about a quadruple win for Dacia Duster in 2011: SUV sales leader in Spain, SUV sales leader in France, the highest non-French model ranked in Top 10 sales in France and overcoming models like Polo, Golf and Fiesta on an important market in Europe.
So Renault has a good reason to celebrate since the Megane sales grew by 15% in November and was the best selling model on the market in Spain in the first ten months of this year.
“The fact that Renault Megan and Dacia Duster are leading the sales makes us feel optimistic about the immediate future…” said Luis Subias, marketing director of Renault Espana Comercial.
