2014 Jeep Cherokee was officially presented by the American manufacturer, rather hastily, being forced by circumstances after spy shots with this model had reached the internet. The new Jeep Cherokee shocks trough its radical lines (resembles somehow with the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee) and will arrive in showrooms later this year.
Jeep programmed the presentation of the new Cherokee model for the 2013 New York International Auto Show (March 29 – April 7), but a set of spy photos made right in their factory, hastened the official presentation. The 2014 Jeep Cherokee shocks by its extremely bold design, characterized by a fascia with very small headlights framing the generously sized grille.

The controversial design is completed by the fact that the front grille is angled drawn and the bonnet is far forward extended. A bold attempt by the Jeep designers, but it remains to be seen what the public reaction will be. 2014 Jeep Cherokee replaces the current Jeep Liberty model for the U.S. market and brings back a legendary name in the Jeep range.
Jeep hasn’t released the technical data, but it seems that 2014 Jeep Cherokee will be built on the Compact US Wide (CUSW) platform of Chrysler, the same used fore Dodge Dart and the Alfa Romeo Giulietta. It will be the first Jeep model that will wear a brand new 3.2-liter V6 engine, based on the Pentastar V6 3.6-liter. It will also be available with the current 2.0-liter turbodiesel, the 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel, and the gasoline 2.4-liter Tiger Shark and the 1.4 turbo from Fiat. In North America, however, will only available with the V6 engines.
The new 2014 Jeep Cherokee will be built in the United States, at the Chrysler Group plant in Toledo, Ohio, and sales will begin in the last quarter of the year.
