Porsche has released a new version of the Cayenne, designed to fill the gap already existing between S and Turbo. It’s about the 2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS and comes with 420 horsepower.
Porsche presented the first images and information of the latest versions introduced on the Cayenne range: 2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS. Also this time, the new version comes to fill the gap between Cayenne S and Cayenne Turbo, promising customers a sporty attitude in one of the most dynamic SUVs of the moment.

2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS Engines
2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS has under the bonnet a V8 engine, also found on the Cayenne S. The unit develops 420 horsepower (313 kW/426 PS) and is assisted by an 8-speed Tiptronic S paddleshift gearbox. The engine and the transmission were calibrated to achieve a sporty behavior.
These changes considerably improve performance of the German SUV that now accelerates from 0 to 60 mph (100 km/h) in 5.7 seconds and from 0 to 100 mph (160 km/h) in 13.3 seconds. Maximum speed stops at 163 mph (261 km/h). Even so, thanks to direct injection and the start-stop system as standard, Porsche announced an average fuel consumption of just 10.7 liters/100 kilometers (26.4 MPG imperial, 22 MPG US).
To ensure a flawless roadeholding, the new 2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS comes with a ground clearance of 1 inch (24 mm) lower than the old Cayenne GTS and has the Porsche Active Suspension Management system.

At the aesthetic level, the 2013 Cayenne GTS is distinguished by the “fresh green” color, but also through the aesthetic bodywork modifications. It has a new front spoiler borrowed from Cayenne Turbo, prominent side skirts, wider bosses, a spoiler located on the tailgate, also the special rims and the dual exhaust are painted black.
At the interior, the new 2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS comes in standard with Alcantara leather upholstery and sport front seats with eight controls of adjustment.
The 2013 Porsche Cayenne GTS will be making its world premiere at the Beijing Motor Show 2012 (this month), and its release date will be mid-summer, in July. It has a starting price on the German market of 90,774 Euros (~ £74,797 ~ $119,000).
