The first manufacturer of supercars in Monaco, Montecarlo Automobile, developed a model equipped with a V12 – BMW origin engine – that develops 500 hp and can be fueled with LPG (liquefied petroleum gas): Montecarlo Automobile Rascasse.
Montecarlo Automobile, Monaco’s first automobile manufacturer, celebrates its three decades of existence by creating a special supercar with a removable roof panel – Montecarlo Automobile Rascasse.
Montecarlo Automobile Rascasse – Engine & Price & Design
The Montecarlo Automobile Rascasse has a naturally aspirated V12 engine derived from the 5.4-liter BMW engine, similar to that used by 1998 Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph, which came to develop 500 horsepower from the twelve-cylinder 326 horsepower of the British model, after being subjected to certain amendments.
The 500 hp engine can be fueled with LPG, inform representatives of the Montecarlo Automobile manufacturer, ensuring the recipe of an automobile for eccentrics. Only 15 units will be built, and the Montecarlo Automobile Rascasse price will be over EUR 500,000 ($650,000 / £450,000).
Bi-fuel with hydrogen enrichment. The particularity of plurifrazionato lies in the type of power: the V12 engine is a “bi-fuel” that can perform with petrol and LPG enriched with hydrogen, thanks to the collaboration with the Italians from BRC, who provided their support in adjusting the fuel supply system.
In the future, the manufacturer from Monaco prepares a version with all-wheel drive and a turbocharged engine for Rascasse, although it did not specify whether it will keep the possibility of LPG supply. Montecarlo Automobile didn’t disclose other specifications of Rascasse.
The interior of Montecarlo Automobile Rascasse carries inspiration from the many luxury speedboats found in Monaco, but customers will be able to customize every detail according to their taste. Thus, we have surfaces covered with wood, dashboard instruments drawing inspiration from aeronautics and classic interior design. The exterior reminds of many famous supercars, combining design lines used by Ferrari and Lamborghini to develop a creation worthy of an eccentric.
