Mercedes-Benz AMG GT – Design & Engine

Unlike the current SLS AMG, the future Mercedes-Benz AMG GT will be smaller, in order to fight in a segment dominated by the Porsche 911. Gorden Wagener, Mercedes-Benz Chief Designer says that the lucky ones who have seen the future AMG GT compared it with the Jaguar E-Type in terms of beauty.

You might think it is hard to overcome the SLS, but I think we managed that with AMG GT. Gorden Wagener, Mercedes-Benz Chief Designer

Wagener believes that Mercedes-Benz AMG GT has more classical elements than Jaguar E-Type and that they will never become obsolete. Sources within the German brand announced that the new model will be very short and has no profile line.

The engine that animates the Mercedes-Benz AMG GT will be a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 expected to deliver about 500 horsepower.
