Koeningsegg One: 1 hypercar will be produced in only six units (apart from the presentation model), being able to accelerate from 0 to 250 mph in just 20 seconds.
Bugatti supremacy in the extreme supercars segment seems to be coming to an end. The threat comes from northern Europe, from Koenigsegg, who launched the new Koenigsegg One: 1. It is the most powerful Scandinavian’s supercar, built with just one goal: to become the fastest production car in the world, a title currently held by Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
Koenigsegg One:1 – World’s first Megacar
According to the official press release, the new model offers one megawatt, the equivalent of exactly 1341 horsepower, squeezed out of a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, built entirely of aluminum. It produces 1,360 hp (1,000 kW) at 7500 rpm and 1,371 Nm (1,011 lb-ft) of torque at 6000 rpm. And for the equation to be perfectly balanced, Koenigsegg One:1 also boasts with a total weight of only 1,341 kilograms (2,956 lbs), distributed 44% on the front axle and 56% on the rear axle.
Quickly analyzing the situation, we see that the horsepower/kilogram ratio is one to one, hence the name of the hypercar. The impressive power is transmitted via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Koenigsegg One:1 accelerates from 0 to 400 km/h (250 mph) in 20 seconds, whereas the performance braking system promises to stop from this speed in 10 seconds. Also, the braking distance from 100 km/h (62 mph) is 28 meters (92 feet), just 2.5 seconds being needed to reach that speed.
The brakes were taken from the Koenigsegg Agera R and involve the installation of 397 mm ventilated ceramic discs with six-piston calipers. The rear has the same type of ventilated discs, but somewhat larger, measuring 380 mm. Along with the new system, Koenigsegg One:1 has a changed ride, with new shock absorbers and a triplex suspension.
The braking system is hidden behind the 19-inch wheels on front and 20-inch wheels on rear, shod with high speed Michelin Cup tires. The performance tires can be safe to drive up to a maximum speed of 440 km/h (275 mph).
The Koenigsegg One:1 supercar can be fueled either with petrol, E85 biofuel or even the fuel used in the performance competitions.
Koenigsegg One:1 production was limited to just seven units, six of them already sold by the exclusive Swedish manufacturer with a minimum price of $2,500,000.

Koenigsegg is creating six uniquely developed and designed production cars – the One:1 program.
This is one of the most exclusive production car programs ever envisaged.

Koenigsegg was the first extreme car manufacturer to take steps toward green technology with the release of the biofuel CCXR in 2007. The One:1, a sibling of the highly competitive Agera R, follows in the footsteps of the CCXR as it also runs on E85 biofuel, race fuel or normal gasoline.
In order to give the One:1 maximum flexibility when it comes to power delivery, Koenigsegg has implemented its patented variable turbo geometry technology in the One:1 program. This technology gives improved response and more low-end torque than otherwise possible. As an example the One:1 engine has over 1000 Nm of torque between 3000 to 7500 rpm, which is truly unheard of.
