Lamborghini has paid special attention to this year’s edition of the Geneva Motor Show. Italians have exhibited a unique model that could easily become the star of the Swiss exhibition. The press release makes it clear that there will be no other copies, even prototypes or models for the Lamborghini museum. So who ever bought this copy will be the most exclusive Lamborghini customer, because according to the information we received, it’s already been sold for a cool 2.1 million Euros (~ $2.8 mil / L1.75 mil).

Lamborghini Aventador J is the definition of purity in Lamborghini’s vision. The Italian engineers took an Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 and removed all items considered unnecessary. Thus the new Lamborghini Aventador J has no roof, no windshield and so are the air conditioning and electronic navigation. Aventador J is essentially an oversized motorcycle just for two.

For thrills, Lamborghini Aventador J uses the 6.5 liter V12 engine developing 700 bhp (710 PS / 522 kW) at 8250 rpm and 690 Nm (509 lb/ft) of torque at 5500 rpm. The power is transmitted to all four wheels and the announced top speed is over 300 km/h (over 185 mph).

The J added to the Aventador name is inspired by Appendix J of the International Automobile Federation regulation for the racing cars. A second reference should be the legendary 1970 Lamborghini Jota, the more powerful version of the Lamborghini Miura model. Jota, as Aventador J, was a unique copy.
