The duel between Hennessey and Bugatti is not over: The American sports car manufacturer Hennessey Special Vehicles prepares the Hennessey Venom F5, a rival with 1,500 horsepower for the almighty Bugatti Chiron.
Hennessey Special Vehicles prepares a surprise for its fans. Headed by the founder John Hennessey, in the next period we will meet the new high-performance Hennessey Venom F5, an in-house fully developed hypercar.
Unlike the old Venom GT, Venom F5 will use a platform designed by the new Hennessey Special Vehicles division. The F5 name was not chosen accidentally. According to Hennessey, the model was baptized after the fastest and strongest tornado, F5 in the Fujita scale.
At the same time, Hennessey Venom F5 has one purpose: to beat Bugatti Chiron. According to the American car manufacturer, the top speed of the Venom F5 would be approaching 300 mph.
Hennessey Venom F5 has a 7.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine capable of developing 1622 horsepower and a top speed of 301 mph (484 km/h).
With an entirely carbon fiber body, the American hypercar weighs 1,338 kilograms (2,950 lb). The automaker claims that Hennessey Venom F5 can run 0-400-0 km/h in less than 30 seconds, under Bugatti Chiron (42 seconds) and Koenigsegg Agera RS (36 seconds).
Hennessey Venom F5 will be produced in just 24 copies, with a price of $1.6 million (£1.2 million / €1.3 million).
Following the official presentation at the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Hennessey has revealed the first pictures with the interior of its hypercar.
The Hennessey Venom F5 interior is dominated by carbon fiber, especially on the dashboard, doors and floor, as well as on the F1-like steering wheel.
