Panamera has received a new hybrid version, called Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid, composed this time of a 4.0-liter V8 engine and an electric motor – assembly that generates 680 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque.
The second generation Porsche Panamera has received a new version before the 2017 Geneva Motor Show in March, and it became the most powerful in its range. The new sports car will be available now as the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid version, which, as the name implies, relies on a hybrid propulsion.
The 4.0-liter V8 engine and 550 horsepower unit is accompanied by a 100 kW electric motor, generating the equivalent of 136 horsepower. Together, the technical assembly has 680 horsepower and an impressive 850 Nm of torque. Based on these specifications, the new Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is able to get from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.4 seconds, making it 1.2 seconds faster than the other hybrid range, known as 4 E-Hybrid.
Moreover, the latter uses a 2.9-liter V6 engine with the same electric motor, generating 462 horsepower in total, the higher performance being pretty obvious. Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid includes an electric battery with a capacity of 14.1 kWh, enabling an autonomy of 50 km (31 mi) only in electric mode.
The new version will be available in a special version – Executive, benefiting from a 150 mm longer wheelbase, in order to provide more legroom for the rear passengers. In addition, the latter benefits from integral steering, in addition to the standard equipment available for both variants, such as air suspension, ceramic brakes or 21-inch wheels.
In EU, the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid price starts at 160,000 EUR VAT not included, and from 173,000 EUR VAT not included for Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Executive.
