Paris Motor Show 2010: Suzuki Kizaschi Sport

During the Paris Motor Show this fall, the Japanese from Suzuki released two models on the European market. The two novelties are Kizashi Sport and Swift.

Suzuki is a very ambitious project, being a powerful fighter in the automobile battle. Although we cannot say that it has a particular expertise in the field, the Japanese brand promises to become the best in the world of prosperous but in the same time demanding mid-class sedan range.

Defined as a premium sports variant, Suzuki Kizaschi Sport combines comfort, fineness and dynamics in a harmonious way, never encountered before at Suzuki. Moreover, Suzuki Kizaschi Sport is considered to be a new frightening rival for Opel Insignia and Volkswagen Passat.

The Japanese sedan has average exterior dimensions (for its range): 4.650 mm length, 1820 mm width and 1480 mm high. Thus, from this point of view, it cannot defeat its competitors.

Based on a previous model with the same denomination, Suzuki Kizaschi Sport displayed at Paris Motor Show 2010 an innovative design that combines sporty elements, in the front line of the vehicle, with an imposing and robust rear side. The interior emphasizes the manufacturers’ passion for premium elements, these becoming a truly obsession both in the case of the exterior and interior. Moreover, Suzuki team characterized its interior as being proportionate and practical, equipped with high-quality elements and designed in such a way that even the most demanding customer would be satisfied.

Kizashi is available with full i- AWD four-cylinder, a single engine type-a 2.4 liter unit which produces 178-horsepower and 230 Nm (maximum torque). The engine of the new Kizashi produced in Sagara employs an aluminium block and cylinder heads, offering a lightweight installation. Besides, the pistons with low tensile force rings grant improved efficiency and power. The announced average fuel consumption is of just 7.9 liters per 100 km. Suzuki Kizashi is also equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox and an automatic one, which can be manage by just using the wheel, with the aid of some paddles.

There are four equipment lines: S, SE, GT and SLS – present on this sedan, that offer eight airbags(in the standard version), dual climate system, ABS, an advanced electronic stability system (ESP), electric windows, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution, tire pressure monitoring system, Rockford Fosgate audio system and projector beam headlamps. Furthermore, the amazing Kizashi samurai s equipped with a developed synergetic vehicle dynamic control. The system offers assistance when driving and offers an entertaining fun-to-drive experience, without intruding.
