Nissan is preparing to add another important link at its Nismo motorsports and performance division. To properly prepare the launch of the new Nismo member, the Asian car manufacturer published today a short video teaser announcing a possible track record on the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit. Although the images are not very suggestive, we can guess that the new Nissan GT-R Nismo has shattered the lap record time held by a production car on the Green Hell.

In order to make claims to this title, Nissan GT-R Nismo must complete the 22.810 km (14.173 mi) of the Nurburgring Nordschleife circuit in less than 6 minutes and 57 seconds, time achieved by the Porsche 918 Spyder.

We don’t have much info about the new Nissan GT-R Nismo. The performance model will have the 3.8 liter V6 twin-turbo engine capable of delivering 570 horsepower. The total weight will be slightly reduced and the acceleration times will be improved substantially.

According to some rumors, Nissan GT-R Nismo will be able to hit 60 mph in two seconds flat! And all this just two years before the next generation GT-R will go on sale, which will most probably be a hybrid .

The Nissan GT-R Nismo price will likely to be around $150,000.

The Nissan GT-R Nismo will be built in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering, a Williams mechanic saying that we will be surprised of how much there is still room for improvement on the GT-R.

More information will be published in the official release on November 20, the day the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show opens its doors.
