Fiat Abarth 500 has reached the U.S. market. The first copies were already presented at the LA Auto Show 2011.
As promised, Fiat brings at the LA Auto Show 2011 the first Abarth model especially dedicated to the U.S. market: Abarth 500 USA.
That’s right, it’s the little Fiat 500, benefiting the whole set of changes made by the Italian sports division. Abarth 500 USA receives an improved breaking system, new exhaust, revised suspension and an aerodynamic kit that reminds us of the American influence for Fiat 500.

Under the Fiat Abarth 500 USA bonnet will be the same 1.4 Turbo Multiair engine with 160 horsepower and 230 Nm. The list of changes will include a new ESP system that may be completely decoupled, a TCC torque transfer system, MacPherson front suspension – 40% stiffer and a 0.6 inches (15 mm) lower ground clearance.
All sprinkled with Koni FSD technology, which improves handling and grip. The brake system received ventilated discs with diameters of 11 inches (282 mm) and 10 inches (242 mm), hidden behind the 17-inch wheels with Pirelli P-Zero Nero tires of 205/40.
Fiat Abarth 500 USA is equipped with the 1.4 turbo MultiAir and can be ordered in entry-level version (135 horsepower) or the performance version coming with a blasting set of 165 horsepower.

The Fiat Abarth 500 USA now has better sports seats with lateral support, a steering wheel dressed in perforated leather and a sporty dashboard instruments with a watch that will let you see the turbine pressure. Fiat didn’t publish any information about the availability of Fiat Abarth 500 USA and the starting price at which it will be marketed in the United States.
