Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition – U.S. $ 297.000 for number 1

Special models for American manufacturers of the day. However, reaching,  for the first vehicle from a limited series, the price of 297.000 U.S. dollars (about 219.000 euros ) at an auction is rare. This is happening now with the Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition. Limited at 500 copies, variant of the Corvette with 513 hp V8 engine.

Car auctions are very popular in the U.S., both buyers and sellers as well as spectators. Often bidders battles develop special vehicles, which have very high entertainment value. Such there were in the Barrett-Jackson Auction in Palm Beach, Florida just over a week.

It was about a very special Corvette. The brand new sports car bears the number 1 of the Z06 Carbon Limited Edition. More 499 cars will go from now for free sale in the U.S. market. Compared to the well-known, 377 kW/513 hp Z06 version is replaced by this special model apart from some carbon fiber parts and special finishes Inferno Orange or Super Sonic Blue, a large Brembo brakes behind the new, black-painted alloy wheels. The chassis is equipped with the adaptive Magnetic Selective Ride Control, offering the best setting for any driving condition.

On technically-demanding race tracks like Laguna Seca is to remove the special model of the base Z06 up to three seconds per lap, that’s what Chevrolet promised.

Name to the Carbon Limited Edition are the front spoiler in the ZR1 style, the headlights inlays, the mirrors, the diffuser and motor border in visible carbon fiber. This is also the engine hood made of this lightweight and extremely rugged material. Upon request, the owner can put race numbers on the doors.

The interior is dominated by dark leather with contrast stitching in body color. A special emblem on the steering wheel, as well as plaques in the initial and sewn into the headrests Carbon Limited Edition Logo ensure good detection characteristics.

  1. The auction system interests me, I like how the price is created naturally by the demand for the product. So many products have their price artifically manipulated in todays major markets.
