Vicki Butler-Henderson and the new 2012 BMW M5 in a Video Review
Fifth Gear puts to the test the new 2012 BMW M5 on mountain roads and on the track . Behind the wheel is lovely Vicki Butler-Henderson (which, by the way, I believe that is wearing a skirt in the show for the first time).
Vicki Butler-Henderson is a presenter of the Channel Five car show Fifth Gear, and also was a former presenter of BBC2’s Top Gear. She also has ten years experience as a road tester for a variety of car magazines in the UK.
2012 BMW M5 Specs
The all new 2012 BMW M5 was officially presented to the press at Nurburgring, but the public was able to admire the new BMW model in all its glory at Frankfurt Motor Show 2011.
In comparison with the previous generation, the new BMW M5 is 10% stronger and provides 30% more torque, while consuming 30% less fuel.
2012 BMW M5 is equipped with a V8 TwinPower Turbo engine, which develops 560 HP (567.8 PS, 417.6 Kw) between 6,000 and 7.000 rpm. Maximum torque provided by this unit is 680 Nm (501.5 lb/ft) and is offered between 1500 and 5750 rpm. Acceleration from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) is accomplished in 4.4 seconds, while the time for 0-200 km/h (124 mph) is 13 seconds.
BMW M5 has a 7-speed automatic transmission with M DCT double clutch. Top speed is limited to 250 km/h (155 mph), but the M Driver package removes this restriction and allows to reach a speed of 300 km/h (186 mph).
