2013 Audi S3 was presented through an official photo gallery and all the technical details. The model has a 2.0 TFSI engine of 300 hp and 380 Nm, giving it a sprint 0-100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and a fuel consumption of 6.9 liters per cent.
2013 Audi S3 will debut at 2012 Paris Motor Show alongside the new A3 Sportback. The performance model from the A3 range is based also on MQB platform and is the first sports version of a model based on the new configuration from Volkswagen Group.

The new 2013 Audi S3 is also equipped with a 2.0 TFSI engine, which is part of the EA888 family and it is 5 kilograms (11 lbs) lighter than the previous version. Besides the low weight, the model also boasts with more power. The unit now has 300 horsepower (224 kW/304 PS) at 5,500 rpm and 380 Nm (280 lb/ft) between 1,800 and 5,500 rpm. The turbocharged engine can reach a rotational speed of 6,800 revolutions per minute.
In the standard the model is equipped with a six-speed manual transmission and quattro all-wheel drive system. Optionally, customers can order a S-tronic dual-clutch seven-speed transmission. With this transmission, the 2013 Audi S3 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.1 seconds. In the case manual transmission, the 0-100 km/h time is 5.4 seconds.
Its combined fuel consumption is 6.9 liters per cent (41 mpg imperial, 34 mpg US) with the S-Tronic transmission, while the manual transmission has an average consumption of 7.0 liters per cent (40.35 mpg imperial, 33.6 mpg US). In comparison with the previous versions, the new S3 is 1.5 liters per cent more efficient (combined). Furthermore, the model has a mass of 1,395 kg (3075.45 lbs) and it is 60 kilograms (132.3 lbs) lighter than the model it replaces.
Compared with a standard A3, the 2013 Audi S3 has a modified front grille with a finishing that imitates aluminum, daytime running lights with LEDs, a new front bumper, mirror caps finishing that mimics aluminum, a set of side thresholds, a spoiler and a new rear bumper, the latter incorporating an air diffuser and a set of dual exhaust.
The interior presents the “classic” S3 treatment, including a sport steering wheel, trim finishing that imitates aluminum, gray dashboard gauges, sport seats – optionally available with a diamond pattern upholstery – and S logos in several areas of the interior.
At the chassis level, the 2013 Audi S3 has a number of improvements to perfect handling. These include a sports suspension that lowers the ride height by 25 millimeters (0.98 in) compared to the new A3 and a performance braking system. Customers can order the Audi Magnetic Ride System.
