Mercedes marks the sales debut of its new GLA with a special edition called Mercedes GLA Edition 1, already a tradition for the Germans. The GLA Edition 1 model will be carefully personalized.
Lately it become a common practice, at a commercial debut of a new model, Mercedes will launch a special version for its GLA crossover, named Mercedes GLA Edition 1. As the name suggests, it announces the release of the Mercedes-Benz GLA model in showrooms and tries to attract customers who are looking for a special edition with personality and exclusivist character.
Mercedes GLA Edition 1 – Design & Engine
Available on the commands list since November and ready to be shipped in starting with March 2014, Mercedes GLA Edition 1 has the Urban Line trim level. The exterior includes bodywork protection panels, roof railing, AMG 19-inch alloy wheels with satin finish, black chromed front grille, bi-xenon lights, black side mirrors and tinted windows for the rear seats.
Mercedes GLA Edition 1 has only four body colors: Cirrus White, Mountain Grey Metallic, Orient Brown Metallic and Designo Magno Mountingrau. Finally, to recognize the car, the Edition 1 logo could not miss.
The interior comes painted in the Desert Dust color with brown seats and contrasting stitching. We have a three-spoke steering wheel, leather, stainless steel pedals, aluminum inserts and the Light & Sight package.
The new Mercedes GLA Edition 1 can be ordered with two petrol engines (GLA200 of 156 horsepower and GLA250 with 211 horsepower) and two diesels (GLA200 CDI of 136 horsepower and GLA220 CDI and 170 horsepower).
Following the successful world premiere of the Mercedes-Benz GLA at the IAA in Frankfurt, many customers are already eagerly anticipating the launch of the new compact SUV from Mercedes-Benz. Now the anticipation is being cranked up a notch to an even higher level. This is because at the time of the market launch in March 2014 there will also be an exclusive Edition 1 variant. It will be available to order from the end of November for approximately one year after market launch.
