Dacia Dokker and Dacia Dokker Van are officially confirmed as two new models in Dacia range – a van with five seats and sliding doors and a utility version of it. The two new models will be launched in the second half of 2012.
Launching the new Dacia Lodgy MPV isn’t the only the premiere of the Romanian car manufacturer in 2012. This autumn will bring the launch of a so-called “Ludospace” based on Renault Kangoo, which will also have a utility version. Its name will be, according to the French press, Dacia Dokker and Dacia Dokker Van.

Dacia Dokker – will be a versatile model with sliding doors and five seats, built on the basic idea of Renault Kangoo. The second will be a cargo version of Dokker – based on Kangoo Express – and will be officially named Dacia Dokker Van. The names of the two models are inspired from the English language, a “dock-worker” being a laborer who loads and unloads vessels in a port.
According to official press release, Dacia Dokker addresses customers who want a spacious five-seater car that can carry large items, if necessary by folding the rear bench.
The new Dacia Dokker provides what the Romanian car manufacturer called “intuitive modularity”, following to be – most likely – a car that will offer multiple inside configurations for the occupants. Dokker is the second MPV in the Dacia range after Lodgy, but has sliding doors and it’s what the French call a “ludospace”.
Dacia Dokker Van, the utilitarian version of the model, will help small traders who need space and a car that can meet the needs of an entrepreneur or a commercial company from small to medium level.
Although Dacia doesn’t provide technical data about the new Dokker Van, the official press release announces that the model provides a cargo volume at the best level in the segment, in conditions of low fuel consumption.
The new Dacia Dokker and Dacia Dokker Van will be launched in Europe in the second half of this year. The two models have officially debuted before the public at the Casablanca Motor Show in Morocco, following to be assembled at the Tangier plant, the one that already builds the recently launched Dacia Lodgy.
