Corvette is celebrating 100 years in the parent company Chevrolet, founded in 1911 by the eponymous Louis, with a special edition of the Z06 called Centennial Edition. The name also identifies a package that will be available starting this summer (prices not yet announced) for the Grand Sport and the ZR1.
The first Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition will be sold at a Barrett-Jackson auction on April 9 in West Palm Beach, an event organized to raise funds for the childhood cancer fight. 2012 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition will point out the Carbon Flash Metallic body, opaque graphics, Centennial Satin Black rims (available from 18″ to 20″) and the calipers brake painted red.
As regards the technique, the Corvette Z06 Centennial Edition will be equipped with Magnetic Selective Ride Control adjustable suspension. There will also be special badge with the portrait of Louis Chevrolet in the central pillars, wheels and steering wheel. The interior will feature the full covering Ebony leather in contrast with the red stitching and the same inserts in the Z06 Carbon microfiber.
