Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible strengthens supercar range after the introduction in 2009 of the convertible version of Continental Supersports. The new model Supersports Convertible is equipped with the same W12 engine with double charge to ensure a power of 630 hp, making it the fastest and most powerful ever built by Bentley convertible.
The name “Supersports” is inspired by the 1925 model Bentley Supersports, a racing version of the legendary Bentley 3-liter, which generate an output of 84 hp in an era in which ordinary vehicles did not exceed 15 hp. Also, model 1925 series was the first car that reached speeds of 160 km / h, an incredible performance for that period.
The new four-seat cabrio Supersports is unmistakably a Bentley, the level of skill handcraft and design, but inside we somehow the announce of a new interpretation of luxury from Bentley. Materials such as carbon fiber satin, leather and Alcantara ™ “Soft Grip” creates a unique atmosphere for sports and style undeniably contemporary.
All Models Continental range, including new Supersports Convertible, work on both gasoline and bioethanol E85, also any combination of these two, Reaffirming the Bentley constant care for the environment, substantiated in the manufacturer’s commitment that by 2012 all cars will be made to work with biofuel. Introduced for the first time on the Supersports model coupe, FlexFuel technology ensures a redu
ction in CO2 emissions by up to 70% in terms of ecological balance, assuming fuel measuring the contribution of net emissions in the atmosphere, not just emissions from the tailpipe.
To ensure a uniform power supply system the on board computer detects the ratio of fuel mixture in the tank and ensures the maintenance of power and torque at constant values, regardless of biofuel report – gasoline.
