2014 Jaguar XJR is the newest addition in the Jaguar performance models range, and it is scheduled to be revealed next week in a world premiere at the New York International Auto Show (March 29–April 7, 2013).
The British car manufacturer chose the 2013 New York International Auto Show (Jacob Javits Convention Center, NYC / March 29–April 7), as the event where the new 2014 Jaguar XJR will made its world debut. Jaguar takes advantage of this year’s NYIAS to show the American public that the North American market is particularly important for growth of the company.

The British chose to reveal next week a new member of the R performance range. It’s about the 2014 Jaguar XJR sedan, which now becomes the most powerful luxury class model.
As expected, the 2014 Jaguar XJR is fitted with the 5.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine , capable of developing a maximum output of 542 horsepower and a generous 501 pound-feet of torque (680 Nm).
The resources are managed through an eight-speed automatic transmission that comes available via the steering wheel paddle shift. We are talking basically about the same recipe as for other performance models in the Jaguar range: XKR-S and XFR-S.
The official press release issued by the British shows that 2014 Jaguar XJR has been carefully developed in Jaguar test center at Nurburgring. The steering mechanism, suspension and brake package have been modified, in other words – everything that could be changed in order to properly use the 542 horsepower available.
The new 2014 XJR will make its debut at the Jaguar stand together with other two premieres for the North American market: several XJ models, now equipped with four-wheel drive, and Jaguar F-Type Roadster – which goes on sale starting this summer.
According to Adrian Hallmark, Global Brand Director, Jaguar: “The new XJR epitomises the three pillars of technology, performance and contemporary design which the Jaguar brand stands for in the twenty-first century, while delivering new levels of dynamic ability in a luxury saloon.”
