Suzuki brings its new toy, Suzuki S-Cross, to Geneva Motor Show 2013, now “multiplied” and ready for sale after the concept’s official launch in Paris last year. Suzuki S-Cross, the Japanese compact crossover will get a series variant at the Geneva Motor Show. Previous version of S-Cross Concept has a length of 4310 mm, width 1840 mm and height of 1,600 mm. For the moment series specifications Suzuki’s version of S-Cross have been uncovered but we’ll hopefully see a decent small diesel engine among options.

Compared to the SX4, its younger brother, S-Cross concept is 160 mm longer, 85 mm wider and 20 millimeters shorter. The production version of Nissan Qashqai’s rival will be built at Suzuki’s plant in Hungary, and production will begin in the second half of the year.
Despite the difficult market conditions across Europe, officials from Suzuki want to sell more than 300,000 units per year in the shortest possible time. The new S-Cross should cover the gap between the 234,000 units sold in 2011 and the target of 300,000 units set for the coming years. Key values of the new SUV from Suzuki will be low CO2 emissions and practicality. The model will be offered in both front-wheel drive versions, as well as all-wheel drive versions. Prices have not been announced.
