Porsche 961 or whatever they named the new supercar from Porsche, which has been codenamed FeFi (Ferrari Fighter), will have a tetra-turbo engine that delivers 650 horsepower. The new German supercar will be placed opposite to the Ferrari 458 Italia and McLaren MP4-12C.

The 3.9-liter eight-cylinder engine and 650 horsepower will be center mounted, it has two intercoolers, a multi-stage intake manifold, four adjustable camshafts and two exhaust stages.
The monster engine it’s combined with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which will send the power to all four wheels, with 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) accomplished in just 2.5 seconds.
The new Porsche 961 supercar is part of the Porsche strategy to sell 200,000 cars until 2018. It will be built on the new MSB-M platform of the VW Group and has already gotten the green light from the Volkswagen executives.
The new platform is made of aluminum, carbon, high strength steel, magnesium and titanium. It weighs close to 1,360 kg (3,000 lbs) and if ultimately the four-wheel drive won’t be used, it will weigh 90 kilograms (200 pounds) less.
Porsche 961 will go on sale in early 2017, should cost somewhere around $250,000 and Porsche aims to sell 3-4,000 models every year.
