Mini offered the opportunity to Italian journalist to create its own interpretation of the Roadster. Franca Sozzani decorated Mini Roadster’s roof with complex floral design, but stylish, in combination with Deepest Purple color and golden stripes, iconic for the rally MINI.
For the Mini Roadster Life Ball interior, Franca chose a rich embossed leather, imprints also found on the dashboard. Brown is found inside, on the instrument panel.
It seems that the special edition customized by Franca Sozzani has attracted the attention of guests, many personalities bidding to purchase the unique car. Mini Roadster Life Ball finally sold for 54,000 Euros, a sum that will be donated to help those suffering from AIDS.
“The concept behind the MINI personalization is inspired by beautiful and elegant women which in the past used to wear a head scarf when driving a convertible. Flowers are a symbol of life and joy. And Life Ball always fight for life and joy,” said Franca Sozzani about inspiration used in designing the Mini Roadster Life Ball special edition.
