McLaren P1 was presented trough the first official pictures by the British car manufacturer. The supercar will make its official debut at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show (83rd Geneva International Motor Show – 7 to 17 March).
McLaren has released a teaser clip for the new McLaren P1 supercar, alongside a picture with instrument panel clocks. The model that will debut at 2013 Geneva Motor Show will also have a “Race” mode, in which the driver can unleash all the ponies supplied without any interference from the electronic systems. Also in Race mode, the driver will have a display inspired by Formula 1. This activates a series of lights placed above the dashboard, which acts as a shift indicator.
McLaren P1 unleashed on the public roads
Despite the high power level of the new McLaren P1 and its skills on the track, the model will remain a vehicle which can be driven on public roads. The potential customers will have access to a car with motorsport technologies, but with reliability and comfort worthy of any top supercar. Among McLaren Automotive’s technical partners we include companies such as Akebono, AkzoNobel, ExxonMobil and Pirelli.
