Lamborghini is planning the production of a very limited series for the Veneno model named Lamborghini Veneno Roadster. The Veneno hypercar was introduced at 2013 Geneva Motor Show, all three copies being already sold.
Lamborghini Veneno was one of the main attractions at the Geneva Motor Show 2013. The new hypercar attracted all eyes, and became an instant blockbuster. All three copies were sold prior to completion, despite the very spicy price. Some sources familiar to Lamborghini claim that the Italian supercar manufacurer is seriously considering producing a new limited Lamborghini Veneno Roadster version.
Lamborghini Veneno Roadster – Rumors vs Strong posibllility
The journalists from Cars UK say that a number of Lamborghini customers were asked by various auto dealers if they’re interested in purchasing a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster.
This time, Lamborghini will build, it seems, nine copies of this exclusive supercar, according to the same sources. Regarding the Lamborghini Veneno Roadster price, we can only speculate. Each three copies of the Veneno was sold for 3.6 million Euros ($ 4.7 million), so the Roadster could cost even more than that.
Lamborghini Veneno Roadster specs should be pretty similar to that of the Coupe version, using the same 6.5-liter V12 engine that develops 750 horsepower, matted with an ISR 7-speed automatic transmission which will send traffic to all four wheels. The engine allows the supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.8 seconds and the top speed of 355 km/h (220 mph).
