Audi introduces LTE technology on its future A3 range, providing 4G Internet speeds to all its new customers! This makes Audi the first automotive manufacturer in the world able to offer such features inside a car. This improvement is already available as an option for 2014 S3 Sportback.
Audi is the first automobile manufacturer to offer 4G internet speeds on board its models. The first production car with 4G LTE internet technology will be S3 Sportback which simultaneously receives the system along with A3 Sedan, but introduced as an option across the A3 range.

The system requires a SIM card connected to an operator offering 4G services and it can turn your car into a WLAN hotspot right away, also giving you access to Audi Connect services such as Internet radio, Twitter, Facebook and others.
The second model in the Audi range that will get LTE Internet is 2014 Audi A3 Sedan. As in the case of S3 Sportback, all internet traffic will have to be paid by the owner and the drivers will have to find a subscription service under a preferential price. Starting November this year, the whole Audi A3 range can be ordered with 4G internet support.
Most likely, BMW will be the second premium automobile manufacturer to provide 4G internet on board its models.
