Porsche 918 Spyder – the supercar we’ve all been waiting for. Finally, the technical specifications has been posted online. The super-sport hybrid needs only 9 seconds to accelerate from 0-200 km/h (125 mph), while maximum speed is 325 km/h (202 mph).
Porsche 918 Spyder, the hybrid that will become the Porsche flagship, is becoming, even more, a reality. The model will enter production in September, and its specifications have already been disclosed on the Internet, not all data being officially confirmed.

The new information presented the acceleration for 0-100 km/h (62 mph), the time for 0-200 km/h (125 mph) and 0-300 km/h (187 mph) for this model, all values being impressive. Thus, Porsche 918 Spyder takes 3 seconds to accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph), while the sprint from 0 to 200 km/h (125 mph) is achieved in 9 seconds. To accelerate from 0-300 km/h (187 mph), the new 918 Spyder needs only 27 seconds.
Porsche 918 Spyder is equipped with a hybrid system that includes a centrally mounted V8 engine, assisted by two electric motors. The electric motors are mounted – one on each deck, and provide at least 218 HP (163 kW/221 PS). Together with the internal combustion V8 engine, the electric units provide over 770 HP (574 kW/781 PS), while fuel consumption of this model will be 3.0 liter/100 km (94 mpg imperial, 78 mpg US).
The autonomy (range) of the hybrid model in 100% electric mode will be at least 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) and the top speed in electric mode is 150 km/h (93 mph).
According to the first information, Porsche 918 Spyder price starts at 655,000 Euros VAT not included. The first vehicles will be delivered by the end of the year, according to Porsche.
Along with the 7-speed PDK transmission, Porsche 918 Spyder will have a total weight of 1,700 kg (3,748 lbs). Internal estimates announce a 7 minutes and 22 seconds for the Nurburgring, 10 seconds faster than the old Porsche Carrera GT.
