The new hybrid version – 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid has obtained a mixed fuel consumption of 4.4 liters/100 km (64.2 mpg Imp. / 53.4 mpg US) in real conditions, according to the Germans, commenting the test results conducted in Germany.
2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid, the hybrid version of the four-door coupe of the German sports car manufacturer, has achieved a mixed fuel consumption of 4.4 liters/100 km (64.2 mpg Imp. / 53.4 mpg US) in the press days tests organized in Germany. Porsche says that the value was obtained after 42 tests with journalists, accounting for more than 1,200 kilometers (750 miles) with the 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid.

In the NEDC cycle, the hybrid version of Panamera obtained a fuel consumption of 3.1 liters/100 km (91.1 mpg Imp. / 75.8 mpg US), but now we are talking about a “real-world” value, with traffic and in normal use, with passengers on board and the air conditioning on. The test circuit for the 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid was 28.7 kilometers (17.8 miles) long and surrounded the city Hockenheim.

The hybrid system of the 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid develops a total power of 416 horsepower and is able to propel the sports car from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.5 seconds, while the top speed is 270 km/h (167 mph).
The new hybrid version of the Panamera debuted with the facelift applied to the four-door coupe from Zuffenhausen. 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid benefits from a propulsion system inspired from motorsport, Porsche experimenting with the racing models equipped with hybrid systems such as the 911 GT3 R Hybrid. In addition to hybrid system (9.4-kWh lithium-ion battery), the model can also be charged from the outlet, which helps save fuel in an urban environment and avoid generating CO2 emissions during the first 36 kilometers (23 miles) on 100% electric mode.
The new hybrid version will be available in Europe starting July 27 and in North America in late 2013. The 2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid base price for US is $99,000.
