Ferrari 812 Superfast becomes the most powerful and fastest production model in the history of Ferrari. The 6.5-liter V12 engine generates 800 of horsepower allowing the supercar to go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 2.9 seconds.
The wait is finally over. Only a day after the appearance of information on plans for Ferrari at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show, the Italian car manufacturer unveiled the new Ferrari 812 Superfast. Based on F12 Berlinetta, the new supercar particularly impresses by the performance of the drive unit.
We are talking about a 6.5-liter aspirated V12 engine that generates 800 horsepower and 718 Nm of torque from 7,000 rpm, which allows the supercar to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. Therefore, Ferrari 812 Superfast becomes the most powerful production model in the history of Ferrari.
At the same time, is the fastest Ferrari ever, if we consider that it is 110 kg heavier than F12tdf model that has the same performance in acceleration to 100 km/h. Equally important is that the Ferrari 812 Superfast will be the last series model fitted with the naturally aspirated V12 engine. Propulsion unit is coupled to a 7-speed double-clutch gearbox.
In terms of design, the new Ferrari 812 Superfast is more aggressive than the F12 and benefits of LED lights, a new grille and aerodynamic elements better highlighted. The interior also received some interesting news F12 Berlinetta compared by Ferrari claims that combines elegance and sportiness of the supercar. For example, the seats are now little more sports and the steering wheel and instrumentation board also received updates.
For now, Ferrari did not give details about the number of units that will be produced, Ferrari 812 Superfast price is TBD, but such details will be released probably at the official presentation at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
