Nissan will launch at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show an innovative concept, called Nissan Friend-ME, created by its new office opened in China. The concept should attract youngsters and promises an innovative center console.
Nissan announced its presence at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show and decided to present the latest concept developed by its new design office opened in China. The artists at Nissan Design China Beijing along with a Japanese team worked together to rise a new concept baptized Friend-ME.
According to officials from the Land of the Rising Sun, Chinese designers have been directly involved in the creation and development phase of the model. First teaser is announcing a futuristic design with aggressive lines, highlighted by LED lights, as shown in the first official picture.
Destined to “energetic young generation in China,” as stated in the press release, the new 2013 Nissan Friend-ME has as its objective conquering the most exciting public on the largest automobile market in the world.

Nissan officials sustain that the idea of building a new Nissan Friend-ME has been born from a simple idea: how to seamlessly connect and accommodate all four passengers with the perfect car interior. That means the same treatment and the same amount of information for all passengers gathered around an innovative central console.

Along with the Nissan Friend-ME concept, Nissan’s booth in Shanghai will include other 20 vehicles, including models like GT-R, Murano and a number of cars made in partnership with Chinese manufacturers: Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company and Zhengzhou Nissan Automobile.
