The Koreans brought at Geneva Motor Show the new 2012 Hyundai i30 Wagon and 2012 Hyundai i20 Facelift. The same as the new i30 hatchback version, the 2012 Hyundai i30 Wagon was drawn and designed especially for Europe in the Hyundai center from Ruesselsheim.
The two body versions of the new 2012 Hyundai i30 were developed together from the beginning to form a coherent and elegant design for both versions, keeping the Fluidic Sculpture philosophy, without spoiling the look of any model, as seen in the case of other compact cars “transformed” into SW.
Hyundai i20 has received a facelift which applies the Fluidic Sculpture design. Hyundai designers have completely redesigned the rear of this city model and have added new wheels and new exterior colors. Overall, the 2012 Hyundai i20 facelift is so serious, that gives us the impression of a new generation, not a new look worthy of a market mid-career.
2012 Hyundai Veloster Turbo comes with a turbocharged 1.6 GDI engine which develops 201 HP (150 kW / 204 PS) and 264 Nm (195 lb/ft), officially presented at the Detroit Auto Show 2012. Meanwhile, the European version now only develops 185 HP (138 kW / 188 PS) and 270 Nm (200 lb/ft). The model takes 8.4 seconds to accelerate from 0-100km/h (62 ,ph). Hyundai engineers say they have sacrificed power for engine torque to improve response at low revs.
Hyundai i-oniq Concept presents future design philosophy that has characterized all new models in the range of this manufacturer. The model is equipped with a interesting propulsion system , combining a turbocharged three-cylinder engine with an electric propulsion system. The operating principle of the entire drive train is similar to the Chevrolet Volt and Opel Ampera introduced by GM.
