Bentley came at Geneva Motor Show 2012 with two “heavy” models: the 2013 Bentley Mulsanne Mulliner and an exercise of design as an SUV called Bentley EXP 9 F Concept, that could turn into a series version.
Bentley brought at Geneva Motor Show 2012 two models: a luxury SUV concept that is called EXP 9 F – although it is only a design exercise, we expect Bentley to produce a series version soon, and the sports version of the current Mulsanne, named Mulliner.

Until recently, if you wanted a luxury SUV, you’d pick a Range Rover. But things change and increasingly more manufacturers of luxury cars enter the SUV market. In Geneva, Bentley has announced this intention in form of a concept called EXP 9 F.
Although for the time being only a design exercise, it is possible to see soon an SUV in the Bentley series range alongside Continental and Mulsanne. The Bentley EXP 9 F Concept SUV is animated by the same 6.0 liter twin-turbo W12 engine also found under the hood of the Bentley Continental models. A V8 engine and a hybrid drive system is another possibility considered by Bentley, if this model will go into production.
In terms of design, Bentley EXP 9 F Concept uses the classic Bentley style to the extreme. The front is dominated by optical blocks inspired by Mulsanne. The interior is luxurious and beautifully blends technology with varnished wood finishes. Passengers in the back have two comfortable seats and a fridge where a cold bottle of champagne is placed. In the purest English style, the trunk was filled with a picnic set.

In order to keep their word and provide the driver a sporty drive, the 2013 Bentley Mulsanne Mulliner is offered with Drive Dynamics Control system which has a Sport function that allows suspension and direction to change according to driver’s preferences. The Sport mode provides, according to official release, “more grip, better control of body roll and a more precise steering without compromising comfort.”
The 2013 Bentley Mulsanne Mulliner exterior is customized with the help of 21-inch wheels made from light alloy with titanium spokes and 265/40 ZR21 tires. In the front we can see the new air intakes with the Mulliner name engraved at the level of the front bumper. For the interior, the British designers have adopted a new leather upholstery with the same motif and stitches seen on each Bentley with sportive ambitions. The pedals, shift lever and threshold inserts, all aluminum, aren’t missing either.
Under the 2013 Bentley Mulsanne Mulliner hood hides a 512 horsepower (383 kW / 520 PS) V8 engine, available on the standard version. Thanks to generous powertrain the luxury sedan can accelerate from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 5.1 seconds, up to a top speed of 296 km/h (184 mph).
