Volkswagen Golf VII GTI Concept was presented at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, only a week ago we’ve received the first images of the concept that anticipates the future Golf VII GTI and we can expect the production version starting 2013.
Volkswagen Golf VII GTI Concept, the performance version of the new Golf 7,was presented at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. The production version of Golf 7 GTI will be presented in 2013, most likely at the Geneva Motor Show. The first information suggest a 2.0 TFSI engine under the bonnet, which will develop 220 hp.

Volkswagen Golf VII GTI Concept – Design, Interior, Engine
The torque developed by the new 2.0 TFSI engine unit is 350 Nm ( 258 lb/ft) from 220 hp ( 164 kW / 223 PS), while the combined fuel efficiency is 6.6 liters/100km (42.8 mpg imperial, 35.64 mpg US). Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) is achieved in 6.6 seconds, while top speed is 246 km/h (153 mph).
The model will also be offered with a performance package that will develop 230 hps and will reduce 0-100 km/h to 6.5 seconds. The presence of this package will raise the maximum speed of the Golf VII GTI to 250 km/h (155 mph). This package should be quite a bargain if you were to ask me… For now, this information was neither confirmed nor denied by representatives of the Wolfsburg brand.
At the aesthetic level, Volkswagen Golf 7 GTI Concept makes no experiment, maintaining the GTI recipe of the German manufacturer. Even the model presented before in the pictures is white, like the last two generations of GTI and the first generation of the Golf GTI with the same red ornaments both outside and inside the model.
This famous GTI model finds its place inside the seventh generation of the Golf, one of the best-selling compact in Europe.
